When thinking about moving to Spain it is a very good idea for you to do some research before hand. This can be done in many ways; looking on the internet, going and visiting Spain or by simply just speaking to people. However, another important resource is by buying (and reading) a book. This is not necessarily just buying your average travel guide but an in-depth book about buying/renting/building a property in Spain . There are many different books out there and it is impossible to say which ones are 'the best'. It really does depend on what you are looking for. What we do recommend is that you skim through a number of different books to see how they are written (different styles can appeal to different people) and also look at the contents page to make sure that the book has all the sections that are necessary to you in it. It is also important for you to get a reasonably up-to-date book as the property market, laws etc are constantly changing and you don't want to be misled by reading a book on Spain that was published before the euro even came into action.

The most important thing that you need to remember when you are looking to buy a book is not to just read that one and then think that everything that you do is going to be exactly like that. The books should only be used as a guideline. The think that you will find from most of these books is that you will always come across some obstacles but that is half the fun. It makes the experience that little bit more memorable.
