good way of learning Spanish is from watching television and films in Spanish
(with Spanish subtitles). This is most effective when you know he film because
that way you can concentrate more on the words being spoken than on what is
actually happening in the film. If you sit and read a Spanish newspaper or
magazine you will start to understand the grammatical structure of Spanish.
Just keep your dictionary with you although try not to look up every word at
first and see how much you understand. A more interesting way of learning
Spanish is by playing games in Spanish. This works especially well if you have
children and you are all trying to learn as you can have fun and learn
simultaneously. Going into local cafes, bars and restaurants are a good way of
meeting people as you are fully immersed in the Spanish language and also
through listening to Spanish music all helps you become more familiar with the
sound of the language and you will begin to realise that you are recognising
some of the phrases and/or the words.
